We created Barossa Reserve to share the Barossa wines we genuinely drink, enjoy and recommend with wine lovers across Australia.

HOW IT BEGAN

It began with a question we were already answering

Friends and colleagues often asked us to help them choose good Barossa wine. We created Barossa Reserve to make those personal recommendations available to wine lovers around Australia, especially those who cannot regularly visit the region and discover its producers for themselves.

What began as advice shared between friends became a practical way to find, select and deliver wines we believe are genuinely worth opening.

OUR BAROSSA CONNECTION

Ten years in the Barossa. A connection that stayed.

Michael's connection to the Barossa began long before Barossa Reserve. He started his career as a metallurgist and worked across Australia and Japan in mining, smelting, steel, cement and engineering. When work brought him to the Barossa, he spent ten years living among the vineyards while managing the Angaston Cement & Lime plant.

Being surrounded by wine country sparked more than a passing interest. Michael went on to study wine evaluation and red winemaking, and later co-founded a Barossa wine appreciation group that brought together winemakers, vignerons and people who simply loved sharing a good bottle.

Adele's connection to the region grew in her own way, through work, playing netball for Barossa Districts, favourite wineries and the people they came to know. Together, those years gave them a personal, lived understanding of the Barossa that now guides every Barossa Reserve recommendation.

The wines we recommend are the wines we happily open at our own table.
