About Brockenchack Wines

Brockenchack Wines is a family-owned estate in Keyneton, in the cooler Eden Valley region of the Barossa. Acquired by Trevor Harch and his family in 2007, the vineyard has roots reaching back to 1896. Its inaugural 2008 vintage produced just 37 dozen bottles of Jack Harrison Shiraz, beginning a family legacy reflected in wines named after loved ones and significant moments in the Harch family story.

The vineyard is entirely hand-pruned, with the fruit grown, harvested, vinified, matured and bottled on the estate. Eden Valley’s higher elevation and cooler conditions allow for a longer ripening season, helping the grapes retain freshness, balance and distinctive regional character. Ancient Riesling vines, mature Shiraz plantings and carefully managed soils form the foundation of Brockenchack’s elegant, expressive wines.

Brockenchack has earned substantial recognition across its icon, premium and core ranges. Highlights include being named Eden Valley Winery of the Year at the 2021 Melbourne International Wine Competition, while the 2019 William Frederick Shiraz received the Best Australian Shiraz trophy at the 2023 International Wine Challenge. Many of its premium reds are structured to develop beautifully with careful cellaring, combining concentrated fruit, balanced acidity and refined tannins.
