WOMS is an acronym for Weapons of Mass Seduction.
Free drainings from drained skins collected over a 36 hour period. 2 tonne yields one barrel. These are matured in French oak from the Nevers forest planted in 1779.The wine is kept in this oak for 26 months then blended to achieve maximum extract and purity with a view to the wine achieving harmony at 30 years of age. No fining or filtration.
Purple and crimson with a dense centre and a youthful edge.
Blackberries, mulberries and canned cherries with hints of chary oak.
Black cherries, vanilla, some saddle leather characters on the palate. The oak will lay down with some time in the cellar and then the fruit will prevail.
Kaesler only make WOMS in years of exceptional quality, 2010 was one of them for Kaesler. Flavours and oak will integrate over time to produce an elegant, savoury style of wine.
